18th Annual Region IX Leadership Conference

The Arizona Association of Community Health Centers and the Western Clinicians Network are pleased to present the 18th Annual Region IX Leadership Training Conference in Las Vegas, NV from April 22 – 24, 2012.

Scholarships Available for Clinical Leadership Development

Sierra Health Foundation has awarded WCN a leadership development grant to provide scholarships to 20 minority physicians who could benefit from participation in WCN’s annual clinical leadership conference and peer support network. The scholarship grant will support WCN’s outreach efforts to new clinicians and a needs assessment survey to help determine the critical issues these independent practitioners face in this era of health care reform. The grant will provide their first year WCN membership dues to qualified applicants.

Dr. Carl Heard addresses healthcare system’s fundamental flaw

Dr. Carl Heard, M.D. MMM, published an editorial on healthcare reform titled, “We must address healthcare system’s fundamental flaw,” in the Nevada Appeal.
