WCN Partners with CPCA for Administration of the Online Clinic Library
December 6, 2013
Western Clinicians Network (WCN) has partnered with California Primary Care Association (CPCA) to continue the development and maintenance of the online Clinic Library created by and for community health center clinicians with startup funding from Kaiser Permanente Community Benefit. The Clinic Library is a shared clinical knowledge portal run by clinicians and provides users with a comprehensive range of research and operations resources including point of care clinical decision support tools.
“The online Clinic Library is an important tool for our community health centers and their clinical staff. Its development has taken years of investment from both WCN and KP and we are so excited to continue this great project with these partners,” said Carmela Castellano-Garcia, President and CEO of CPCA. “We see the immense benefit this online tool has for our members and want to ensure that it continues to provide them with the valuable research knowledge it contains. CPCA is committed to providing community clinics and health centers with programs and services that will help them provide the best care for their patients, and we believe the Clinic Library is one such resource.”
“WCN is very pleased to partner with CPCA to benefit from their extensive experience in bringing new programs to market,” said Charla Parker, CEO of WCN. “In transitioning the administration and management of this tool to CPCA, WCN will be able to continue to focus its internal resources on developing new quality improvement initiatives to support its mission.
Through this partnership, WCN will continue to provide clinical leadership and CPCA will be responsible for providing continuing administrative and Clinic Library subscription support.
